What are the different types of sports fields?

There is a wide variety of outdoor sports and leisure facilities in both the city and surrounding areas:

Multi-sports facilities: In addition to traditional facilities for grass sports, there are a number of multi-sports facilities that are integrated into natural park landscapes. These include, for example, basketball courts, skate parks and publicly accessible running tracks.
Hybrid systems: Hybrid systems are also an established trend. These combine traditional lawns with artificial turf in order to utilize the advantages of both systems – nature where possible and high performance where needed.
Nature parks with sports grounds: In addition, sports grounds are often combined with biotopes and semi-natural zones to support biodiversity and also contribute to the regeneration and recuperation of athletes.

Gebrüder Grimm-Grundschule (Primary School), Hoppegarten, Brandenburg

The “Gebrüder-Grimm-Grundschule” project was implemented by Greenovis member company Rüdiger Brandenburg. It comprises a 22,000 square meter outdoor area with a district center and a sports field with a 400-meter running track. There is also an adventure playground. A decentralized rainwater infiltration system ensures sustainability. The client was Implenia Hochbau GmbH, with planning by plandrei Landschaftsarchitektur.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Spielpark Park (Skate Park), Bremerhaven-Leherheide

The Spielpark Leherheide in Bremerhaven combines a skate park and BMX park. Seen from the air, the facility is reminiscent of an eye that blends harmoniously into the landscape: The central area made of concrete is complemented by ramps and halfpipes made of wood on asphalt. Our member company Siefken Landschafts- und Gartenbau was responsible for the greening and landscaping of the facility. The design was created by DSGN concepts.
